The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) has launched the  DHHL Beneficiary Portal, a platform designed to streamline access to key DHHL services.

DHHL Beneficiary Portal

For Lessees

If you are a current lessee, the portal allows you to:

  • Access Lease Information
  • Submit a Change of Account Information Request
  • Report a Death (Lease-related)
  • Submit a Lease Transfer Request
  • Designate a Lease Successor


For Applicants

If you are an applicant or interested in becoming one, the portal provides access to:

  • Submit a New Lease Application
  • Search the Waitlist
  • Report a Death (Application-related)
  • Submit Direct and NAHASDA Loan Applications (by invitation only)
  • Submit Pre-Owned Home Pre-Qualification Applications
  • Begin the process here

Access By Invitation Only

Access to the DHHL Beneficiary Portal is by invitation only.


Time-Sensitive Information

The Hawaiian Council will begin administering the Office of Hawaiian Affairs’ (OHA) $6.1 million Emergency Assistance Program to support Native Hawaiian beneficiaries impacted by the ongoing federal government shutdown and the suspension of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.


Starting Mon., Nov. 10, eligible applicants can visit Hawaiiancouncil.org/oha-relief for full details and to access the online application portal. The site will feature two separate applications:

  • Native Hawaiians who have lost or experienced reduced SNAP benefits, and
  • Native Hawaiian federal civilian workers who have been furloughed or are experiencing pay interruptions due to the current federal shutdown.
